St. Luke's Regional Medical Center is a community hospital serving Sioux City, Iowa, United States and the surrounding Siouxland area. St. Luke's was named as Siouxland's Consumer Choice Award winner for most preferred hospital.[1]
St. Luke's offers full-service healthcare with clinics, a birth center, cancer care, heart and vascular services, GI, orthopedics, rehabilitation, surgery, emergency care and more. St. Luke's is also planning for the future of healthcare through its affiliation with St. Luke's College.
St. Luke's began in 1884 when Sioux City's first hospital, Samaritan Hospital, was opened. The hospital as it exists today was founded in 1966 through the consolidation of Lutheran and Methodist hospitals.
Over the years, St. Luke's has grown from a single, acute care hospital to a system encompassing St. Luke's Clinic Network. A member hospital of Iowa Health System.
